Our D-ROCK module creates a detailed geomechanical and reservoir property log. Unlike the current practice of obtaining logs of 1 in 10 or 1 in 20 wells, a log can be obtained on every well in a very cost-effective manner without the expense of logging tools and laboratory testing. With a geomechanical log on every well, geologists and reservoir engineers can better exploit unconventional reservoirs leading to higher recovery factors and greater Net Present value of assets. A more detailed reservoir characterization leads to optimal stimulation design (through selective perforation/zoning versus a geometric spacing), better future well placements, and optimal horizontal wellbore placement.
